Professor Russel Griggs joins Future Route Board

Future Route Ltd is delighted to announce that Professor Russel Griggs OBE has joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Professor Grigg’s experience in the SME sector will be invaluable to the company as it launches its new online credit review service, CreditPal.

“Professor Griggs brings a wide range of experience to the board, in particular his extensive knowledge of SMEs and the challenges they face during the current economic climate,” said Christopher Poll, Future Route’s Chairman and CEO. “He is close to the Government’s thinking and action on the financing of this sector through his role as Chair of the CBI’s UK SME Council. Because he holds this position through the election until January 2011, he is best placed to help develop ideas across government in this area.”

Professor Griggs said ‘I am delighted and honoured to join the Future Route Board as I think that, especially while we come out of recession, there will be fundamental changes in the way businesses are managed. I believe that Future Route already has products to aid that transition and will develop more in the future. This is especially true because the world we are in will rely far less on historic annual accounts data and will instead demand current management account information when making decisions on risk. This will put pressure on all areas of business, in particular SMEs and providers of credit and finance, to use the type of solutions and services offered with Validis Amatino and CreditPal.”

“Future Route is extremely fortunate to benefit from Russel’s experience and advice in the SME area,” added Christopher Poll. “His knowledge of this sector complements that of Alan Morgan who built McKinsey’s financial institutions practices in Europe and the Middle East and who also served central banks and market regulators.”

Professor Russel Griggs said: “It is also good to see that Future Route can achieve all this by using Alan Turing’s inductive logic techniques. For once, we can build a business based on a British invention.”
